One small step

Well, three actually. I saw Chicky walk for the first time on Monday, just before his first birthday. I suspect that these were not his first steps however.

He is so terribly adorable and yummy at the moment. He has this trick where he opens and closes his hand waving "ciao" (he says ciao too) and he has recently taken to using it in context when he notices either we or someone else is getting ready to leave.

And today I was playing "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and I'll swear he was singing along.

Chicky really is a character.

Happy Birthday

Yesterday was Monkey's second birthday. The little monster is now suddenly speaking real words and short sentences. It's been an amazing transition from gobbledy-goop to english.

Took the troop to the Australian Museum. The kiddies play area was way cool. Chicky had a ball. He is now standing for long periods before falling but now walking. His communication skills have improved too - he makes it very clear when he wants something - point and grunt ("Ngh" means that).

They make such fast progress at 1 and 2. Not so fast once they get to 8.

When I grow up

The older two gremlins were playing with my old super high heels. Mr Fastidious was walking about in them. 

"Mum, I think Daniel wants to be a girl when he grows up".

Dad was so pleased.
